One exciting element of an integrated marketing campaign is a Personalized URL (PURL). When a recipient receives their PURL and enters it into a Web browser, they are instantly taken to a personalized micro-site. The micro site has graphics that are consitent with the campaign and messages personalized to the recipient. Oftentimes, the PURL is used to provide a promotional offer and request additional information in the form of a survey. Then the marketer can follow up with an e-mail or sales call.
