Loading the Cedar Graphics PDF Output settings for Adobe CS4, CS5, and Acrobat 9 is extremely easy and needs to be done only once. First, download the PDF Preset here. Once downloaded, watch our video or follow the easy steps below:
InDesign
- Download File
- Unarchive downloaded file (unzip, open, etc.)
- Select File >> Adobe PDF Presets >> Define…
- Click “Load”
- Select “Cedar_Graphics_Output_V2.joboptions” from the downloaded folder
- Click “Open” from the select file menu
- Click “Done”
To check to see that the preset was loaded properly:
- Select File >> AdobePDF Presets
- Cedar_Graphics_Output_V2” should appear near the bottom of that menu.
Setup InDesign preflight settings
- Select Window >> Output >> Preflight
- Click the image in the top right corner of the popup
- Select “Define Profiles…”
- Click “Load Profile”
- Select “Cedar_Graphics_Output_V2.idpp”
- Click “Open”
- Click “Ok”
Set Cedar Graphics Preflight settings as Default
- Click “Preflight Options…”
- Change the Working Profile dropdown to “Cedar_Graphics_Output_V2”
- Click “Ok”
Acrobat 9
- Select menu Advanced >> Preflight…
- Select “Options…” from the top right corner
- Select “Import Preflight Profile…”
- Select the file “Cedar_Graphics_Output_V2.kfp”
- Press “Open”
The preset will be available in Photoshop and Illustrator as well
Quark v7/v8
- Download File (click here)
- Unarchive downloaded file (unzip, open, etc.)
- In Quark click Edit then "Output Styles"
- In pop up window click "Import"
- Browse to the downloaded file and select “Cedar_Graphics_QXD_Output_v1”
- Click “Open” from the select file menu
- Click “Done”
