Available Positions:

2nd Press Operator – Sun AM – Tues AM – 12 hr shifts

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Current hours would be Sunday – Tuesday 5am to 5pm, with OT opportunity available rest of week.
  • Will be responsible for loading large sheets of paper on skid for the press, preparing all materials for jobs on schedule, cleaning ink rollers and helping troubleshoot issues.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and have solid work history.
  • Requires mechanical knowledge, analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Pressroom experience preferred.
  • Requires high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis,
  • Good eye-hand coordination and attention to detail.

Bindery Production Supervisor - 1st Shift

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and schedules work to meet tight deadlines in the most efficient and cost effective way possible
  • Work with other production leaders to resolve daily production issues such as material, delivery, quality and employee performance.
  • Identify gaps in production that prevent production targets from being achieved.
  • Perform tasks necessary to ensure assigned team has the parts, tools, and resources necessary to accomplish their assigned work, allowing them to stay on task.
  • Ensure the desired product quality levels are achieved through use of standard work and training to those standards, training in operation and inspection techniques, and use of tools/data.
  • Create and maintain a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts to support decisions, managing one’s own reactions, and addressing unacceptable behavior.
  • Proactively address substandard performance, conducts performance reviews, coach’s team for development.
  • Provides information to estimating, job planning, csr and sales on better ways to produce product.
  • Routinely develops ideas and solutions using continuous improvement tools and techniques to improve areas.
  • Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging associates to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation.
  • Communicates with team leaders to ensure changes are implemented and sustained.

  • Preferred candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a leadership role. Other combinations of formal training and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a complex, custom product manufacturing environment; print experience helpful

HR / Office Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the full cycle recruiting of positions.
  • Write job descriptions, ad placements, for recruiting etc.
  • Coordinates onboarding and manages communications with new hires.
  • Assists in the coordination, planning and administration of company activities and events.
  • Assists in maintaining accurate employment records including, benefit enrollment forms, updating records for employees in computer system and personnel files.
  • Maintain and coordinate internal communication process to employees.
  • Assist with monthly billing of Fulfillment customers.
  • Reconciles third party freight expenses and billing.
  • Maintains USPS stamp inventory.
  • Create purchase orders as needed.
  • Create and update spreadsheets, reports and charts as needed.
  • Maintains records of all current contracts, leases, and subscriptions for various departments.
  • Writes correspondences, makes copies and file documents as needed.

Educational Background & Experience
  • High School Diploma with 4-5 years’ proven experience in HR or office administration.
  • Two years’ experience with recruiting and interviewing required.
  • Two year degree in HR or administrative support preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Understanding of general accounting workflow and terms.
  • Must have experience working with confidential information.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Be a self-starter, willing to learn and make suggestions for improvements.

Custodian / Building and Grounds Maintenance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day-to-day custodial tasks, maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of Cedar Graphics building and grounds.
  • Will be responsible for mowing, snow removal and general cleaning of property.
  • Perform basic semi-skilled maintenance duties including painting, changing lights, electrical, minor carpentry and plumbing as needed.
  • Assists in keeping dock area and production floors clean and maintained.
  • Will be responsible for maintaining recycling program, emptying production garbage cans and changing out recycling containers.
  • Will assist in refilling first aid stations and other supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • 3 years of experience which includes the ability to demonstrate of basic maintenance skills

  • Must be able to work under limited supervision.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

  • Previous fork truck experience is preferred.
  • Work in indoors and outdoors – even in extreme temperature changes.

1st or 2nd Shift Folder Operator

We are currently accepting applications for a 1st or 2nd Shift Folder Operator.  Seeking individuals who have experience or want to learn to run a sheet fed folder machine. A folder takes large sheets of paper and based on mechanical modifications and attachments, folds the paper into various sizes. Will initially learn how to load paper, make minor modifications and run the machine.  Over time, will learn to set up common fold patterns and eventually more complicated folds.  This position is truly an art and needs someone who demonstrates they have the skill, patience and ability to deal with tight tolerances.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be mechanically inclined, have good math skills, be able to read a tape measure and have good troubleshooting skills. Must be able to lift 30-35 lbs on a regular basis from waist to chest height. Must be a self-starter with a good work history, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.  Previous experience in a printing environment a plus.

Accounts Payable Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for processing of full cycle accounts payable, 3 way matching, preparing weekly check run and mailing vendor payments.
  • Charge expenses to appropriate cost centers / accounts.
  • Review bills for accuracy, researching and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist with other accounting processes as needed.
Requirements Include:
  • Two year accounting degree and at least 2-3 years experience with A/P or high school diploma and 4-5 years of experience.
  • Experience with A/P in a 3 way matching, manufacturing environment helpful.
  • Must be accurate and detailed oriented, proficient with Excel and data entry.
  • Previous experience with sale tax a plus.
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage and organize numerous tasks in a fast paced environment.

Stitcher - Machine Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reads job tickets to determine setup specifications and instructions.
  • Must be able to set up and run stitcher, including setup of pockets, cover deck and trim system.  Also includes adjusting and rebuilding heads, changing knives knives, and any other functions that are needed.
  • Performs routine adjustments during stitcher run and maintains quality checks throughout the run for a smooth and trouble-free operation.
  • Follows standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position and data collection.
  • Constantly monitor quality of finished product.
  • Will assist in packaging off stitcher according to job specifications.
  • Be responsible for general maintenance and lubrication of machine.
  • Performs all assigned work effectively and on schedule.
  • Records daily production information accurately.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by comply with safety rules, procedures and regulations.

Bindery & Fulfillment Associates

Cedar Graphics is currently looking for dedicated individuals to work in our bindery and fulfillment areas on 1st shift.  This position may work on numerous different jobs of varying complexity every day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Primary duties include hand collating, kitting, picking/packing, and preparing product for shipping with necessary and correct documentation
  • Read job tickets thoroughly for instructions.
  • Process each job completely and accurately.
  • Pull product for orders or delivery and necessary shipping information.
  • Run small equipment that is already set up as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma
  • Good attendance with solid work history
  • Must be able to do basic mathematical calculations – addition, subtraction, and fractions.
  • Must be able to read job tickets
  • Willingness to learn other areas.
  • Requires an eye for detail and quality assurance.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 20-30 lbs on an occasional basis.

IT Workflow Automation Administrator

Cedar Graphics is looking for a self-starting individual who has experience with databases to create, modify and improve our automated workflow processes.  This position is part of the IT department and will assist in other duties within the IT department based on his/her skill sets and previous experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Learn Cedar Graphics’ current MIS system, software and applications associated with it.
  • Learn Enfocus Switch program to maintain, improve and create new workflow automated processes.
  • Work with managers to evaluate current workflows and processes for areas of improvements to allow for automation opportunities.
  • Research new software or application options and provide recommendations to improve efficiencies, including ROI for any purchases.
  • Evaluate API integration opportunities.
  • Liaison with subcontractors on programming and other technical issues that cannot be accomplished inhouse to make sure tasks are done on-time and within budget.
  • Assists with other IT duties as assigned.
Skills and/or Knowledge include the following:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL database experience, specifically PostgreSQL and report writing.
  • Previous experience with Enfocus Switch or similar workflow automation platform preferred.
  • API integration experience preferred.
  • Background in the print industry, specifically pre-press is preferred.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a self-starting, inquisitive individual that likes to make improvements.
  • Excellent internal and external verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent work ethic, both alone and as part of a team.
  • Ability to comprehend needs and functions of various departments.
  • Working knowledge of both Mac and Windows operation systems (including server systems)
