LEARN MORE ABOUT CUSTOM PRINTED BOXES

How are custom boxes and packaging made?

1

Proofing

Perfect printed boxes start with preparation. Once we receive your packaging artwork we double check alignment as well as complete our standard prepress checks for resolution, color, fonts, and more.

2

Printing

Depending on order quantity and design requirements (PMS colors, foil, varnishes, etc. ) your boxes will either be printed on our HP Indigo 12000 or with our UV Offset presses.

3

Cutting & Scoring

Once printed, your boxes will be trimmed down to its final flat size. Since packaging is typically printed on heavier stock, folds are scored first to help prevent ink from cracking and resulting in higher-quality and longer lasting packaging.

4

Glue & Assembly

Once cut, your boxes are almost finished and ready for gluing or assembly. Depending on complexity the gluing and folding process will either be automated by machine or completed by hand.
