How are custom envelopes printed?
1
Proofing
Perfectly envelopes start with preparation. Once we receive your envelope artwork we double check alignment as well as complete our standard prepress checks for resolution, color, fonts, and more.
2
Off to Press
Once approved your custom mailer heads to printing. In most cases your mail piece will be organized and printed in a precise sequence to qualify for maximum postal discounts.
3
Cutting & Scoring
Once printed, your envelopes will be trimmed down to its final size. For envelopes printed on heavier stock, folds are scored first to help prevent ink from cracking and resulting in a higher-quality and longer lasting finished envelope.
4
Folding & Gluing
Once trimmed, your envelopes are ready to be assembled. Flat envelopes are stacked and travel down a conveyor belt through multiple folding and gluing units.
