Cedar Graphics and The Brandt Company

Davenport, Iowa. — With a long history of outstanding customer service and customer loyalty, The Brandt Company will close its commercial printing operation in Davenport in late June, affecting about 70 workers. The exact last day of production is yet to be determined.

The closing follows a most recent acquisition of Fidlar Printing (Fidlar-Doubleday) as well as the print division of MultiAd, Peoria in 2012. These acquisitions helped to establish Brandt as a commercial printing leader, both regionally and nationally, specializing in brochures, catalogs, annual reports, short-run books, direct mail and sports-related items.

Brandt has partnered with Cedar Graphics of Hiawatha, Iowa, to transition its customers to a more robust printing platform with enhanced access to marketing solutions. Cedar Graphics will retain the Brandt brand through 2014, pending transition to Cedar Graphics. Production will be handled from Cedar Graphics’ facility at 311 Parsons Drive, Hiawatha, Iowa. Sales and administrative offices will be maintained in both the Quad Cities, Iowa, and Peoria, Illinois. Job opportunities for production staff will also be made available by Cedar Graphics.
